Procrastination is my biggest weakness. I’ll set out to do one small task and then somehow end up scrolling on my phone for half an hour. By the time I get back to it, I feel guilty and less motivated. What’s frustrating is that it’s rarely big projects I delay — even basic chores or sending a short email gets pushed off. I’ve tried making to-do lists, but sometimes they just overwhelm me more. Curious what simple tricks actually help people get moving without overthinking.

One trick I’ve noticed helps is setting a timer for just a few minutes. Telling yourself, “I’ll do this for five minutes,” removes the pressure, and more often than not you end up finishing the whole task. It’s funny how starting is the hardest part, and once that barrier is gone, things flow a lot easier.
